MICROBLADING

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is an advanced manual method of cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation.  At Sherri Studios, Microblading is performed using a very fine, sterile, 100% disposable hand tool to deposit pigment into the dermis.

This method is ideal for both men and women wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of natural brow hair present.

Microblading is a multiple-step appointment process. For best results, new clients are offered one Complimentary Enhancement Session. This second session should be scheduled 6-12 weeks after the initial procedure to perfect the shape, color, and density of the brows.  Some may choose to have additional Touch-Ups in the future to achieve desired results.

Please be prepared that eyebrow color intensity will be significantly darker and sharper within the first few days of the procedure, but fade significantly (approximately 30-50%) over the healing period (4+ weeks).

Results and longevity vary greatly from person to person. However, annual Touch-Up is recommended to retain ideal shape and saturation of pigment.

HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?

This varies from person to person because it is considered a “semi-permanent” brow procedure and there are many factors that can affect the longevity of the pigment retained in the skin. Therefore, no guarantee can be made as to how long the results will last. The pigments are designed to gently fade over time. That being said, each client must understand that retention depends greatly on your skin type, texture, oiliness, and long term aftercare.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE AND WHAT TO EXPECT?

Each initial procedure takes anywhere from 2-3 hours. During that time, a through consultation is given to better understand client’s desire and what they hope to achieve during their treatment as they fill out all required paper work. This also includes many attempts to draw the perfect eyebrow shape and matching the ideal pigment color. Once we have the final approval from the client then we will start the actual microblading procedure. Keep in mind before and after pictures may be taking with client’s permission.

IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?

This varies from person to person as everyone has different pain threshold. However, most people just feel a slight discomfort and topical anesthetics will be used throughout the procedure to minimize the pain. Women who are on their menstrual cycle may also feel more sensitivity and may not want to have this procedure done during that time of the month. If you are ultra-sensitive and have a very low tolerance for pain, then this may not be the treatment for you.

MICROBLADING VS. DIGITAL MACHINE - WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

Both of these treatments are very similar in a sense that they both are used to provide clients with lasting cosmetic results. Both treatments can provide clients with natural alternatives to makeup.

• Requires the use of a manual tool that is used to etch pigments into the epidermis/dermis layer of the skin, slightly shallowing than machine method.
• A grouping of fine needles are used to create the most crisp and precise strokes, and most natural like for the hair-strokes.
• Last approx. 6-12 months before touch up work may be required, and pigment can stay in the skin up to 3 years until color completely fades away       depending on skin types, environmental factors, and lifestyle.
• Currently the most requested brow treatment with minimal downtime.

Digital Machine:

• Requires the use of a machine or digital device to employ pigment into the dermal layer of the skin.
• Pigment can stay in the skin for up to 2-5 years and visible for up to 18 months.
• A range of design techniques can be produced such as hair-strokes, powder, and combination or ombre with minimal downtime.
